Missouri has no state-level licence for garage door, general, or home improvement contractors. The Division of Professional Registration's official list of licensed professions runs from Accountants to Veterinarians and includes "Electrical Contractors", but contains no general contractor, home improvement contractor, construction contractor or garage door category. Any licensing requirement therefore comes from the city or county where the work is performed - check locally.

Missouri has no statewide building code.
